Spring
The city awakens with blooming flowers- cherry blossoms, peach, apricot, magnolia, and lilacs paint parks, imperial gardens, and ancient courtyards. Yuyuantan Park, the Summer Palace, and the Forbidden City become vibrant scenes of pink, white, and purple under brightening skies.

Summer
Lush greenery fills the city. Lotus flowers bloom in the lakes of the Summer Palace. Evenings bring relief; strolls along Houhai Lake or shaded hutongs reveal a lively, warm atmosphere. The bright sun highlights the vivid red walls and golden roofs of historic sites.

Autumn
The sky is a deep azure. The city blazes with red maple leaves (Fragrant Hills) and golden ginkgoes (Temple of Heaven, streets). The Great Wind, draped in fall foliage, is particularly majestic. It is the most picturesque and comfortable time to explore.

Winter
A quiet, poetic serenity. Snowfall transforms the Forbidden City into a timeless, silver-and-gold masterpiece. Frozen lakes (Shichahai, Summer Palace) become popular ice-skating rinks. The clear, cold air sharpens the outlines of ancient architecture, creating a solemn, majestic beauty.

The most famous Beijing dish, with a history dating the Ming Dynasty imperial kitchens. Premium Peking ducks are air-dried and roasted over fruitwood until the skin glows and shatters crisply. Served table-side, it’s wrapped in delicate pancakes with sweet bean sauce, fresh scallions, and cucumber- an irresistible mix of crispy, savory, and fresh.

Thick wheat noodles are topped with a rich, savory sauce fried from fermented yellow soybean paste and minced pork, garnished with fresh cucumber, bean sprouts, and radish strips.

A classic northern hot pot, popular since the Yuan Dynasty. Paper-thin lamb slices are swished briefly in a bubbling copper chimney pot with clear scallion-ginger broth, then dipped in sesame sauce. Tender, light, and perfect for cold winters.
Customize your experience and explore Beijing while mastering Mandarin through culture, travel, and real-life interactions.
