The main program runs 3 classes per day, Monday to Friday (09:00–11:35 AM). You can optionally add Hanzi classes in the afternoon (13:00–14:40), bringing your total to 5 sessions per day.

Is the intensive program suitable for complete beginners?

Absolutely. We accept students at all levels, including those with zero prior Chinese experience. A placement assessment ensures you start at exactly the right level - CM1 for beginners.

How long does it take to complete one CM level?

With 15 classes per week, most students complete one CM level in approximately 4 weeks. The full CM1–CM6 journey typically takes 6 months of intensive study.

What is the typical class size?

Our intensive classes have an average of 3–4 students and a strict maximum of 6. This keeps the environment interactive and ensures you speak Chinese every single day.

Can I join mid-level or do I need to start from the beginning?

You can join at any level. After your placement assessment, you will be placed into the appropriate ongoing class or wait for the next intake at your level - usually within 1–2 weeks.

What happens if I miss a class?

We understand life happens. Missed classes can sometimes be made up in another group at the same level, subject to availability. Speak to our academic team and we will arrange the best solution.

Are learning materials included in the fee?

Yes. All textbooks, practice sheets, and digital resources are included in your per-class fee. You will not be charged separately for any materials used during the course.

Do I receive a certificate after completing a level?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upon successful completion of each CM level, you receive an official Connect Mandarin certificate. This can be used to support university applications, HSK exam registration, or visa processes.
